Microsite
A microsite is a small, thematically distinct web presence with one or a few pages. It is commonly used for campaigns, product launches, events, employer communications, or particular audiences. A microsite may live within the main domain, on a subdomain, or on a separate domain; this choice affects operation, brand connection, and discoverability.
A separate presence creates visual freedom and focused user journeys but adds work for content, privacy, tracking, security, and technical maintenance. A new domain does not automatically have visibility or authority. Before implementation, teams should determine whether a landing page or section of the existing site can achieve the same goals more sustainably and where content will go after the campaign.
