WordPress-Plugin
scinet IndexNow
Submit changed WordPress URLs to IndexNow.
Queues changed public URLs and submits them in batches to IndexNow after explicit activation.
What the plugin does
scinet IndexNow notifies participating search engines when public content on your WordPress website changes. My plugin queues URLs, submits batches and retries temporary failures. You explicitly choose whether submissions are enabled. Successful submission does not guarantee indexing or ranking.
Who it is for
For WordPress sites that want to use IndexNow in a controlled and transparent way.
Included features
- Persistent URL queue
- Batched submissions and retries
- Same-host sitemap import
- Explicit activation before first submission
- Multisite support
- Extension hooks

Installation and updates
Install and activate the ZIP. Review Settings → IndexNow and explicitly enable submissions. Open the displayed verification URL and check that it returns only the key. Optionally import a sitemap from the same website. Updates from 1.0.0 pause submissions until consent is saved. Deactivation retains data; full removal on uninstall requires the deletion option to have been enabled beforehand.
Direct ZIP releases must currently be updated manually. This website does not operate a plugin update server.
Before updating, back up your website and database. Upload the new ZIP under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and choose to replace the installed version. Then check settings and functions. Do not uninstall first if you want to retain your data.
Free direct download; updates currently require manual installation. A future transition to WordPress.org will be verified separately. The listed versions were tested within the documented scope, not with every theme or intermediate version. Actual screenreader testing remains outstanding.
